The topic of Dark Academia is like an old mansion: there's a candlelit dining room with antique wooden furniture, a gloomy but cozy library filled with old tomes, the living room with plush armchairs and a fireplace. a spooky attic and a dark wine cellar full of mysteries.
It's also an interpretation of the autumn seaso: the fiery colors of leaves, foggy and rainy weather, early nightfall, cozy tweed coats and a chilly breeze of melancholy before winter - a sense of memento mori is in the air.
Motifs of this collection are a blend of botanical and floral sketches bringing to mind herbariums and wild gardens; old German handlettering that reflects poems and diaries; as well as a large-size hand drawn damask design, as a nodd to the vintage charm and craftsmanship behind of elegant textile wallpapers.
They are complemented by a selection of minimalist and geometric blender patterns, that are suited for drapes or curtains.
This collection is made primarily for digital printing.
It's meant for home decor textiles or a quilt project. Some patterns come in large scales also suitable for wallpaper, making a perfect set for setting a living room into the on-trend Dark Academia vibe.
